Keith and I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today. It is Ab-Fab! We laughed so much at the job Johnny Depp does as Willy Wonka. He's a kinda sarcastic, issue-ridden, Michael Jacksonesque person who is trying to keep his personal stuff in check but like the chocolate he manufactures, the issues keep oozing out of his every pore. The visuals are fabulous and all of the Oompa Loompa songs are done by Danny Elfman so we get a sampling of everything from a 60s Folk Song to one that sounds like a "La Vida Loca" rip off which shows those Oompa Loompas can really shake their money makers.
The family in the film is great too. The characters are really funny and we had many belly laughs. I encourage everyone to see this film.
